Websites for a chiropractor

A chiropractic website needs three things: a page that says what you treat and what a first visit involves, a way to book that visit without phoning during opening hours, and a diary you control. Posato is a service that rebuilds the site you already have with all three built in, and you approve it before anything replaces what you have.

What a chiropractic website needs

Someone with a locked neck on Sunday evening is not browsing. They want to know whether you treat what they have, what a first visit involves, what it costs, and whether they can get in this week. A phone number that rings on Monday morning answers none of that. Four things carry the page:

  • a short page on what you treat, back pain, neck pain, headaches, in Dutch and English if your patients read both
  • a page about you with your SCN or NCA registration, since chiropractor is not a protected title here
  • your rate for a first visit and for a follow-up, written down, not "on request"
  • a booking step that works at ten on a Sunday evening

Chiropractic sits in the aanvullende verzekering, not the basic one, so the patient pays you first and claims it back later. That is why the rate has to be on the page. Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity read those same four things when someone asks for a chiropractor nearby.

Online booking for a chiropractic practice

A chiropractic day is two lengths, not one. A new patient needs 45 minutes for the history and the examination; someone three weeks into care is in and out in fifteen. Most practices hold that on the phone, with a WhatsApp thread for the reschedules. Put both behind one calendar link and the diary shreds itself. On Posato they are separate services:

  • their own duration and price, a 45-minute first visit next to a 15-minute adjustment
  • their own hours per weekday, so first visits sit in the mornings
  • a buffer after each appointment, so the notes are done before the next person walks in
  • staff assigned per service, when a second chiropractor works Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • a booking window and blocked dates for the weeks the practice is shut

Patients see only the hours you opened, for the service they picked. A booking lands in your back office, the schedule fills itself in, and the patient gets a confirmation you did not write.

Taking payment for a visit, or approving new patients first

Most chiropractors take the money at the visit and would rather the site did it at booking. New patients are different: you may want to see who it is before the slot is confirmed. The two cards below show what each one means.

The patient pays when they book

The visit is paid through Stripe at the moment it is booked, and the slot is held. Payment and appointment sit in one place, and a full or partial refund goes through the same screen if you have to move someone. The money lands in a Stripe account in your own name, and the 5% commission comes out of what the patient paid.

A new patient asks, you confirm the slot

No payment at that moment. The request lands in your back office with a name, an email and a phone number, and the slot stays held until you approve it or offer another time. Practices use this for first visits, where you want to know what is coming through the door, and leave the short follow-up appointments on instant booking.

Moving a chiropractic site off Wix, Squarespace or WordPress

You send the address of the site you have now, on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or whatever the practice was built on years ago, and we rebuild it on a private preview link. Your current site stays live until you approve the new one. The three steps and what they cost you in time are on the home page.

What a chiropractic website costs with Posato

While the beta is open there is no subscription and no build fee. When a patient pays through your site we take a 5% commission on that payment, and a quiet week in the practice costs nothing. That is how we make money. The rest of the answer is in the questions on the home page.

Questions chiropractors ask before switching

Can I keep new patients out of the online diary until I have seen the request?

Yes. Set the first visit as a request, so the slot is held until you approve it, and leave the shorter follow-up appointments on instant booking. Patients still book at midnight; you decide in the morning.

A patient needs six visits over two months. Can I book the series in one go?

Not from the patient's side; each appointment is booked on its own. You can put the next visits in yourself from the back office as manual bookings, and rebook or move any of them later.

Someone cancels an hour before. What happens to the money?

You set a cancellation deadline and a penalty, plus a short grace period right after booking in which anyone can still cancel for free. A paid visit can be refunded in full or in part from the same screen, and a no-show gets marked as one on the booking.

There are two chiropractors in the practice. Can a patient pick one?

Staff are assigned per service in the back office. Each chiropractor gets their own services with their own hours, so a patient books the person by booking that service.

Send us your practice website.

We rebuild it with booking built in and send you a preview. You approve before anything replaces what you have.

Free while in beta. A 5% commission on payments taken through your site. That is how we make money.

Two fields. Your link and email go to the founder and nowhere else.
