A workshop website needs three things: a page that says what you make in an evening and what it costs, dates people can book a seat on themselves, and a seat count that closes the date when the last one goes. A workshop is not a diary of appointments. You run a handful of dates a month, each with a bench that seats eight or ten, and what matters is whether the last place has gone. Single seats sell best when someone can pay for one on the spot. Hiring the whole workshop is a different conversation, usually a company or a group asking about a date you have not opened. The two cards show what each one looks like.
Someone picks a date, pays for a seat through Stripe, and that seat comes off the count straight away. When the last one goes the date stops taking bookings, so you never open the door to eleven people on a bench for ten. If you have to call a date off, the refund goes out from the same screen as the booking.
A team or a group of friends who want the bench to themselves send name, email, phone and a message, and write the date they have in mind in the message. It lands in your inbox, they get an automatic reply so nobody is left wondering, and you answer with a price once you know how many are coming.
You send the address of the site you have now, on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or anywhere else, and we rebuild it on a private preview link. Your current site keeps running and taking messages until you approve the new one; the three steps and what they cost you in time are on the home page.
While the beta is open there is no subscription and no build fee. When someone pays for a seat through your site, we take a 5% commission on that payment, so a month with no dates on costs you nothing. The rest of the answer is in the questions on the home page.
No. You set the hours you open per weekday for each workshop, then block the weeks you are away and any single date you want off. Dates also open only a set number of days ahead.
The date closes itself and stops taking bookings the moment the final seat goes, so two people cannot claim the same place. If you squeeze in an extra chair, you add that person as a manual booking.
You set a cancellation deadline, what is kept if someone cancels after it, and a short grace period right after booking. Refunds go out in full or in part from the same screen as the booking.
Yes. Prices can be set per age group, and you can add rules for group size, so a parent and child booking two seats together is priced differently from two adults doing the same.
