What a sauna website needs
A sauna site usually assumes its reader already knows the place. Someone planning a first visit turns up with other questions: is today textile-free or a swimwear day, when the next Aufguss starts and whether the door stays shut once it has, and whether towels come with it. Answer those on the page, put a way to book under them, and the rest is decoration. Four things carry it:
- what a visit includes and how long it runs, a three-hour entry priced apart from a whole evening
- which days are textile-free and which are swimwear, on the page rather than at the door
- your prices, stated, including what under-16s pay if you admit them
- a way to book at eleven on a Thursday night, when a Sunday visit gets planned
Ask Google, ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity for a sauna in your town and they go looking for those same details. Put them on the page once and you have answered the visitor and the assistant in one go.
Booking seats for a sauna when the benches fill
A sauna session is a room, not an appointment slot for one person. What counts is how many places there are on the benches, and once they are gone the session should shut rather than send people to a full cabin. Most saunas hold that number at the desk or in an Instagram story with the day's Aufguss times. Here the session itself is what gets booked:
- twenty places on the benches means twenty bookings, and the twenty-first person sees a closed session
- opening hours set per session type, so a women-only morning runs on its own clock
- a buffer after every session, long enough to air the cabin and stoke it back up
- how far ahead people book, plus the days you close for maintenance
- payment at booking through Stripe, or a request you approve first
Nothing shows on the site that you have not opened. Bookings arrive in your back office, the session list builds itself, and the visitor gets a confirmation you never had to type.
Moving a sauna site off Wix, Squarespace or WordPress
You send the address of the site you have now, on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or a wellness platform you have outgrown, and we rebuild it on a private preview link. Your current site stays live and keeps taking bookings until you approve the new one; the three steps are on the home page.
What a sauna website costs with Posato
While the beta is open there is no subscription and no build fee. When someone pays for a session through your site, we take a 5% commission on that payment. A quiet Tuesday costs nothing. That is how we make money; the rest is in the questions on the home page.
