Websites for a coaching practice

A coaching website needs three things: a page that says who you coach and what changes, a way to book a first call without email back and forth, and a calendar you control. Posato is a service that rebuilds the site you already have with all three built in, and you approve it before anything replaces what you have.

What a coaching website needs

Coaching is an open profession, so a visitor decides on the page itself whether to trust you. They arrive from a post on LinkedIn or a name a colleague gave them, and they want to know what you work on, what a session is like and what it costs before they say anything about themselves. Four things carry that:

  • a short page on the work you do, career, leadership or running a business, in Dutch and English if your clients read both
  • a page about you, with the ICF credential or training you hold, because nothing else vouches for it
  • your rate per session, written down, not "on request"
  • a first call someone can book at eleven at night

A resource library and a newsletter can wait. Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity read those same four things when someone asks them for a career coach in Utrecht, so getting them right serves the reader and the assistant at once.

Online booking for a coaching practice

A coaching practice has an odd shape: a free chemistry call of half an hour, a paid session of an hour, and now and then a group workshop with a fixed number of seats. Most coaches run that on Calendly plus a payment link and keep the rest in their head. Posato treats availability as something you shape:

  • working hours per weekday, set per service, so Thursday evenings can be chemistry calls only
  • a buffer after each session, because nobody writes up notes in zero minutes
  • several services side by side, a free 30-minute call next to a paid 60-minute session with its own price
  • a seat count on a group workshop, and the slot closes when the last seat goes
  • a booking window, so nobody puts you in the diary eight months out

Clients see only what you have opened. A booking lands in your back office, the schedule fills itself in, and the client gets a confirmation you did not write.

Taking payment for coaching, or a free first call

Some coaches want the session paid before it happens. Most want a free first call before anyone pays anything. Both sit on the same site, one service each, and the two cards below show what each one means for the person booking.

The client pays when they book

The session is paid through Stripe at the moment it is booked, and the slot is held. Payment and booking sit in one place, and a full or partial refund goes through the same screen if you have to cancel. The 5% commission comes out of what the client paid.

The chemistry call costs nothing

No card, no charge. Someone picks a 30-minute slot, it is confirmed on the spot, the client gets an email, and it is in your back office before you look. You open only the hours you want to spend on first calls, and your paid sessions keep their own hours, length and price.

Moving a coaching site off Wix, Squarespace or WordPress

You send the address of the site you have now, on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or a one-page thing you built yourself, and we rebuild it on a private preview link. Your current site stays live until you approve the new one. The three steps and what they cost you in time are on the home page.

What a coaching website costs with Posato

While the beta is open there is no subscription and no build fee. When a client pays through your site we take a 5% commission on that payment, and a month with no bookings costs nothing. That is how we make money. The rest of the answer is in the questions on the home page.

Questions coaches ask before switching

Can I sell a programme of six sessions?

Not as one payment. Each session is paid at booking, or you invoice the programme yourself and run the sessions as requests you approve, so only your client gets those slots.

A company wants coaching for their team. How does that reach me?

Give that its own service as an enquiry: a form with name, email, phone and a message, no calendar. It lands in your inbox, the sender gets an automatic reply, and you quote by email.

Someone books and does not turn up. Can I charge for that?

If the session was paid at booking, the money is already in your Stripe account, and whether any of it goes back is your call under the cancellation policy you set. A free chemistry call has nothing to charge against.

Can I close the two weeks I am away?

Yes. You block date ranges and single days, and you set a booking window that says how far ahead people can book. Clients see only what is open, so nobody lands in a week you are not working.

Send us your coaching website.

We rebuild it with booking built in and send you a preview. You approve before anything replaces what you have.

Free while in beta. A 5% commission on payments taken through your site. That is how we make money.

Two fields. Your link and email go to the founder and nowhere else.
